Giant Tome, Overweight. Cover shows wear at edges, spine cloth is missing, spine paper is exposed. Red large edition called the "Art Edition" because it is filled with etchings, fancy first letters, boarders and stylings. Embossed cover with gold titles. Fancy, decorative end papers, second free end paper on reverse reads "Delos Castle, Pomona California". Frontice etching of Tennyson, gutter crack between this page and next which is also illustrated. Paper is aged, some minor closed tears on a few pages, minor rippling on bottom ends of pages. Gold ends of pages when book is closed. Back cover is present but detached. At this time a large rubber band is holding the book together, eventually will need spine replacement to hold boards in place. Dispite these flaws the book is decorative in that shabby chic sort of way. The book is Victorian is look and feel, beautiful elements complement Tennyson's works.. Illustr.: 1.
